We want to take the opportunity to talk about the wonderful LeAnne Hoekstra for this installment of the associate spotlight series! LeAnne has been a staple of SpendMend, working here for over 25 years! She started when there were only 15 employees at SpendMend and has since seen the company grow to what it is now. She has been a key contributor to that growth, and we can’t thank her enough! Dan Geelhoed, CEO, had this to say about LeAnne; “Every team has a leader. Football teams have a quarterback. Basketball teams a point guard. At SpendMend we have LeAnne. She is our go to for everything SpendMend. Throughout this pandemic she has been here every day working to ensure everyone’s needs are met to keep the business wheels turning. There isn’t a day that I don’t depend on LeAnne for something and I know she is always there to support us.” She is one of the most reliable people you will ever meet and has proven it time and time again. Without LeAnne, this company would be nowhere near where it is today. Thank you for everything that you’ve done and continue to do for us LeAnne!

My job is satisfying and fun.
Before working at SpendMend, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Corporate Office Manager at a Health Fitness Center, I saw over four different fitness clubs!
What is one fun fact about you?
I love heavy metal music and crocheting, interesting combination, I know.
What type of music or podcasts do you listen to during the workday?
Too many to list, but there’s a good chance it’s either Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Judas Priest, Korn, In This Moment, Otep, or DIO.
Do you have any hobbies or participate in any activities outside of work?
Crocheting – Concerts – Gardening
What is the best part of serving the healthcare market?
Revenue savings for our clients.
What has been your experience with SpendMend community service events?
Making desserts for our cookouts & potlucks!
What is your favorite in house event? (specific potluck, chili cook-off, bring your kid to work day, etc.)
I really like the Potlucks.

What advice do you have for perspective candidates who want to join the SpendMend team?
The best place to work for 8 hours a day!
What has been your proudest accomplishment at SpendMend?
Relocating our corporate offices in 2019 was a big accomplishment.
What is something you’re looking forward to for your future at SpendMend?
I’m looking forward to staying here long enough to end up finishing up my career with SpendMend. No place I’d rather be!
