We are a rapidly growing company.  In 2021 we completed a third straight year of over 25% revenue growth.  On a daily basis, we work with over 120 major U.S. healthcare networks spanning nearly 3000 hospitals delivering visibility, insight, and optimization into the cost cycle to help our clients control costs, reduce risk, and better fund patient care.

We deliver an expanding suite of solutions aimed primarily at the Procure-to-Pay cycle of major U.S. hospitals.  We traditionally target hospitals with at least $500m in patient revenue.  As we continue to grow, we have successfully begun to move deeper into the mid-market.

 

Job Duties

The BDR will report directly to the Director of Business Development.

Their main responsibility is to source new sales opportunities primarily through outbound Cold Calls and emails. Much of the role will consist of identifying new decision-makers, adding them to the database, and contacting them via phone and email to generate interest in SpendMend’s solutions. BDR is expected to consistently make 75+ calls per day. Must be comfortable calling high-level decision-makers at large health systems and hospitals.

The BDR will be expected to maintain a proactive, positive relationship with the members of the sales team and other SMEs and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives and/or SMEs for further development and closure.

The BDR should communicate on a weekly basis with sales executives and/or SMEs to prioritize sales targets, discuss weekly results and jointly organize outreach activities.  All work, outreach, communication, and documentation must be managed and stored on the company CRM with no exceptions. Although the company has invested in multiple list-building and data services, the BDR will be responsible for driving additional efforts to maintain and expand the database of prospects within their assigned territory.

The BDR will be responsible for developing a strong knowledge of the healthcare industry.  The BDR is also expected to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and advise the marketing team on content and best practices for connecting meaningfully with the marketplace.

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge on the healthcare industry
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • A good attitude (We have a good, cohesive culture and we work very hard to preserve it.  Disruptive personalities will not mesh well.)
  • A strong work ethic
  • Proven, demonstrable inside sales experience and success
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Ability to manage your own time productively.
  • Ability to manage/lead interaction with sales execs and/or SMEs.  (BDR will need to proactively get on their calendars, set lists, plan activities, etc.)
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing 75+ cold calls per day
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (or experience with a similar CRM and a strong commitment to learning MS Dynamics and becoming an expert)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

 

Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work In the United States. SpendMend is not willing to sponsor candidates who require work visas.

Salary: $45,000 – $55,000
