For this week’s associate spotlight, we wanted to talk about Dave “Diesel” Hewitt! Dave is on the sales team and plays a huge part by bringing in new business. How long have you been with SpendMend?
I’ve been with SpendMend for 3 years now.
How did you first learn about SpendMend?
I actually used to compete against SpendMend.
What 3 words would you use to describe SpendMend?
Results, Accountable, Proven
Why do you look forward to coming to work?
That’s easy! Matching our solution with client needs.
Before working at SpendMend, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I worked on the family farm bailing hay as a kid. I was paid 50 cents an hour, plus dinner. Till this day, they still say they lost money on me!
What is one fun fact about you?
I have my black belt in Karate. I was in Karate for 11 years and finally obtained my black belt after 7!
What type of music or podcasts do you listen to during the workday?
I like to listen to country.
Do you have any hobbies or participate in any activities outside of work?
I like to spend my time with my kids. I have one son and one daughter who both are involved in a ton of different sports.
What was the best compliment you’ve ever been paid by a client or supplier?
“You can count on Dave to do what he says he’ll do.”
What is the best part of serving the healthcare market?
Definitely the results.
