I’ve been playing tennis my whole life. My dad taught me at a young age, and it really grew into more than just a hobby for me. A fun story/fact is that I can beat Rich Iverson in tennis. What is one fun fact about you?

7 handicap in golf

What does it take to become a 7 handicap in golf?

Becoming a golfer to have a 7 handicap took a lot of practice and patience. I started golfing in 5th grade and achieved that handicap around my junior year of high school. My next golf is to possibly golf popular courses around the nation like Bandon Dunes, Torrey Pines, Pebble Beach, etc.

What was the biggest challenge of becoming a 7 handicap?

My biggest challenge was trying to be better than my younger brother who eventually passed me up really quick.

What did it take to be better than your younger brother?

Try practicing more than him. I was able to fend him off in his early years of high school but once I stopped practicing as much as I used to after high school, he immediately passed me up. It took a while.

I started fly-fishing after I graduated high school. It was a calming and humbling hobby I picked up from my uncles and grandpa. My favorite thing about fishing is how relaxing and fun it can be at the same time. It also gives me more opportunities to be outdoors and allows me to go to other places outside of Utah and fish too.

Where is your favorite place to go fly-fishing and why?

My favorite place to go fly-fishing is in Montana or Wyoming. The seclusion from lots of people is what makes it amazing. Being able to go enjoy the outdoors without any distractions and have a good time on the river.
